MEETING MINUTES                                                                                             November 4, 1998

Meeting called to order by President Mark Hazen.

  Old Business:

n       Minutes from previous meeting were read.  Software winners will be added.

n       The Map Subgroup presentation by Jim Coats went very well.  Jim gave a brief recap of the items covered during the presentation.

n       There is interest in having a Lisp Subgroup meeting and Ron Karnesky will make and outline for a presentation and group involvement.

New Business:

-          Copies of the Bylaws were distributed by Mark Hazen.  The members in attendance read and revised them. Bill Booth made the motion to accept the Bylaws with changes, seconded by Ron Karnesky and passed by the members in attendance.

-          Mark Hazen informed the members that we are an offical registered AutoDesk users group and will receive and annual allotment of $10,000 worth of Autodesk software to give away as raffle items, door prizes, etc.  Mark brought three packages he had recently received: Symbols 97, AutoCAD r14, and Architectural Desktop.  He also has the list of all software available from which the club can choose additional items.  Since the Autodesk fiscal year runs from Feb to Feb we still have time to select additional software 1998.  We will take a pole of the membership to get software preferences for raffles at upcoming meetings. This form will be posted on our Web page or faxed to those who do not have access.  Raffle items and/or door prizes will be given at every meeting.  The item to be raffled will be chosen at the beginning of the meeting, tickets sold at the meeting and the drawing made at the close of the meeting.  The cost of raffle tickets for software will be 2 tickets for $5.00, maximum $20.

-          Newsletter is due to go out in January and will include a list of meeting dates for 1999 and any other articles and information we have ready.  A meeting will be scheduled within the next few weeks to compile the newsletter.  Please submit your information to Mark Hazen or Jim Coats

-          Would the members like to have refreshments at the monthly meetings?  Bill Booth will contact food service businesses to find discounts.  Domino’s Pizza will give us a discount on pizza and drinks.

-          Mark gave a user evaluation of  IntelliCAD software and will receive a trial copy of ArchT in the near future.  He will give us an update.

-          Next meeting will be December 9, 1998 at 5:30 pm; City of Redding Conference Room A. Tim Corey of Delta Engineering will give a “surprise” presentation.
