MEETING MINUTES                                                                                             April 15, 1998

 

Dues for the “new year” was collected by Linda Lowell.

5:30  Meeting called to order by President Bill Booth.

  Old Business:

n       Minutes from previous meeting reviewed..

n        Don’t forget Jim Coats is our representative to the International AutoCad Users Group.

 New Business:

The motion was made to adopt July 1 to June 31st as the Fiscal Year for the Users Group.  Dues are due and payable at the July meeting, all new members will get their dues prorated    All members who are paid up through April and/or July are current.  Motion passed.

The membership list will be pared down according to the length of  attendance.    We signed in 6  new members at this meeting.

Jim Coats said he would e-mail the newsletter prior to the meetings.

Bill Booth opened the nominations for new officers for the “new year”.  Mark Hazen volunteered and was elected as new president by a unanimous vote of the members present.  Joe Marvin volunteered to stay on as Vice President, Linda Lowell will continue as secretary and Bill Hinek will remain as treasurer.

Darlene Kerr of Between the Lines volunteered to be the newsletter editor and will contact Melissa for assistance.

Demonstration:

Dave Jones gave us a great view of productivity by using lisp routines and a thick handout to accompany the demonstration.  Lisp routines can be used with macros and script routines.  Programs are available to collect and alter routines to increase productivity like Vitalisp from Autodesk, or Visual Lisp.  Dave wants to know if there is interest in a Web News Group for lisp programming.  Contact Dave at ddpburney.com

Questions and discussions filled the later part of the meeting, as always, very informative covering a wide range of topics and/or problems.  Door prizes and raffle tickets  brought in $95.00; Wayne Young won the Tool Pac program (donated by Dave Jones), John Boyle won the Autodest View r2.0 software (donated by Delta Eng.), ____ won the 3 months free internet service (donated by Computer Zone), and ____ won the plotter pens (donated by Redding Instrument).  Thanks to all the business who donated the great prizes.
