MEETING MINUTES January 21, 1998
Additional dues were collected by Bill Hinek .
5:30 Meeting called to order by President Bill Booth.
Old Business:
n No new logo designs have been submitted to date. We will continue to use the original one (above).
n We are still looking for a person to be our Public Relations representative whose main job would be to find ways of raising money for the group. No candidates as yet.
n Jim Coats is our representative to the International AutoCad Users Group.
New Business:
Advertising and Fund Raising
All members will have to work on soliciting funds, collecting door prizes for raffle items, sell raffle tickets, etc to assist in meeting the groups needs. Seconded and passed.
Demonstration:
Jim Coats gave a great demonstration on the new Northern California AutoCAD Users Group web page. The City of Redding has donated space on their server and Jim has built an impressive site.

There are many AutoCAD information sites out on the web and we want to be a local source of help and information. Jim Coats can also be reach by fax at City of Redding, Attention Jim Coats 225-4360. Send all the interesting things you can find to Jim and he will stock up out web pages.

1. Ron Karnesky has a Nicollette Zeta plotter model 836A and needs information on dip switch settings, literature, and any helpful info you may have. Contact Ron at Gerlingers Steel Supply or at www.ecst.csuchico.edu/~ronk
2. Mark Hazen is having difficulties with Map1 and autospooler functions
3. Bill Booth using Windows NT on Novell network gets a read only file when using the save-as command.
4. Bill Hinek had Softdesk questions. Fred Lucero is our source for Softdesk tips and tricks.
5. Jim Coats looking for a lisp routine to increment attributed blocks. Dave Jones says he has a couple routines that might fit the bill (since he has over 4000 of them).
6. Questions on using the Active X in AutoCAD???
7. Dave Jones had an NT crash and the pick box in AutoCAD became a rectangle?? - no solutions the this problem so far.
8. HP plotter problems – extra lines on the right side of the sheet near the polyline border???
A good group of questions and a good discussion among members. Very informative.
Our next meeting is tentatively set for April 15, 1998 - Tax Day - again in Conference Room A at Redding City Hall.
